In 2016 Warm Audio introduced one of the most talked about 87-style FET condenser microphones in the industry with the release of the WA-87. And with its affordable price, it turned heads in the entire industry. Based on the classic 60's circuitry, the WA-87's rich sound became a favorite of countless producers, engineers, and home recordists everywhere. That was their first mic and they succeeded very well. But since then they've released other remakes of lots of other vintage mics, which drove them to see if they could take their experience and try to improve the WA-78 without raising the price. The result is the new WA-87 R2 (revision 2), which, as you'll hear yourself, is even closer to the original's sound, vibe, and performance.
